Just So You Know
This was an illustration
for an article supposedly written by a woman explaining to the female
readers (a pretty non-existent contingent) about the male member,
discussing the attributes, sensitive areas and general construction as
well as how best to service/cope/utilize this foreboding organ. The
magazines back then would frequently include these non-fiction
mock-medical and quasi-informational pieces filled with lascivious
language and dubious data usually written in a female voice, full of
peculiar pet names for vaginas. I think the idea was to titillate the
readers into thinking that women were having relatively vulgar ideas and
sugar-coating them with a combination of technical seriousness and baby
talk.
