Anyway, I didn't want to ruin what I have here so I made four identical arms on a different sheet of paper. Why didn't I just make copies on the printer? Well, pens react differently to different papers, that's why. I'm not going to just look up a photo and filch that concept. So, I'm going to different tattoo parlors and see what impresses me and might work. THUS, if anyone would prefer to have the drawing as is, speak up before next Friday (the 20th) and claim it for $525 (6¾” x 9¾” on 9½” x 12½” art paper). If nobody cares for it that way, I'll do the tat sleeve after Friday and the price will be $575 thereafter. So weigh in if this is something that might compliment your collection as is or with the tat-arm.

UPDATE July 26th: I ended up, instead of doing the tattoo sleeve, creating a companion piece showing these same guys a little further down the path of their encounter. I did it at the suggestion of a collector who I thought was buying both pieces. The sale did not happen, and now I have no desire to add the tattoo sleeve since I would have to do that complex detailing in both pieces and show it from different angles. It would take too many cigarettes (which I can't afford) to steady my focus to get through all of that. | |
