Might Be Love

Again, my sole purpose in putting this on paper was to adjust my eyesight after spending many hours "inside" a bigger drawing I'm working on. It was just supposed to be a fairly typical illustration of an intergenerational encounter. It’s a theme I'm comfortable with as I like to portray an undercurrent of power imbalance in a relationship. However somewhere in the process, the scene decided that it would take a slightly different direction. This happens frequently enough that I rarely approach a scenario with a 100% certainty that it's going to represent the initial concept I had going into it. There are times when the characters demand to be something else and... well, I trust them to know better than I what they're doing in these cases. There's not a vestige of coercion, subjugation, intimidation, or anyone being used. These two, despite their obvious age difference, are on equal footing here. They are coming at each other as equals, and as such, the reason they're together at all just "Might Be Love."
