So although I've never followed anyone's advice about anything in my entire life, a number of guys "in the know" tell me I need to do less explicit (PG-13) drawings if I expect to sell anything because that's where the market is right now. Luckily, I had many years of dealing with the various prohibitions imposed by magazine editors and know (I think!) how to play by the rules but skirt the edge by interpretive millimeters.
So, here we have these two. I'd just done the black tile on a different piece (that won't be galleried... too.... Hahaha!!! I'm not telling!) and liked the end product so much. I had all the right markers set up already, so I knocked these two out over the weekend. They're almost filthier for being no-shows! Hahaha!!!
I'm hoping that these poobahs are wrong. I've always thought being a sex-pig was one of the central perks of being a homo, maybe not in action but at least in mind and spirit. If cocksuckers are becoming prudes... I don't know... it's depressingly shocking. Anyway I do like this duo, but now I need to go draw something that has big, drippy dicks abutting some highly inappropriate orifices.
I was not sensing a title that worked for these, and I was drawing a blank until my WebGuy Daniel reminded me next month [August 2012], is the 50th anniversary of the infamous tearoom busts in Mansfield, Ohio. Then, these became exhibits of how some things never change. — Michael Kirwan
