VIC

I often create characters that I think I might be able to fit into a narrative or scenario, but as in the case of this guy, sometimes I just can't figure out how to use them. So I was searching through some old sketchpads recently and thought that perhaps I should pull out a few of these dudes, bring them to a "finished" stage and set them loose to find their own adventures as I had failed to incorporate them into a full-fledged sexual fantasy. I'm not generally a fan of single-figure/minimal background representations (Who are they? Where are they? Why are they naked and erect?) but there was simply no alternative in this case.

Here's my thoughts about why these guys never found a suitable scenario to be party to. I spend a lot of time with characters as I'm developing them. I imagine a certain amount of biographical data so that when I eventually put them in finished piece it's a plausible sexual situation. There is some structure to my more involved scenes, I like to pair up different types of people to heighten the dramatic narrative. Young/old, fit/flabby, participants coming from different ethnic, social and economic backgrounds. Inclusiveness has always been an underlying theme for me and showcasing body types not routinely represented in the works of other erotic artists is something that I consciously decide to follow. Each of these drawings took between 8-12 hours to complete and while I was working on them I pondered the reason I never got around to utilizing them in the expected manner. Each character had different problems and I thought it might be of interest if I explained what lead them to be rejected and relegated to "outcast" status.

About five or six years back, I was commissioned to do a drawing of a threesome of overly-beautiful, overly-muscular, and overly-endowed with gigantic genitalia cavorting in a gym setting. (Sorry, I lost that scan in a computer disaster.) It was all a bit too trite for my taste so I invented "Vic" (originally "John" until I remembered that I already had a "John" waiting on the runway) as a source of levity in the otherwise routine arrangement. The client was aghast when he saw the preliminary sketch and wanted Vic OUT. I on the other hand found Vic much more interesting than the smug demigods worshipping themselves so after the job was done, I continued to re-draw Vic assuming that I'd find a proper home for him at some point. It was a strange experience getting Vic to look the way I knew he should. He's buck-toothed, and after years of envisioning fairly regular teeth behind the skin of my guys, it was an aberration to ink in a mouthful of decidedly unattractive pearlies. Next came the jaw-line problem. For decades I've used a standard template for the face-neck connection and disregarding that basic structural tool was difficult. The dick too was a bit of a problem. I'd become so used to drawing big cocks that I almost had no reference to picture how and where his package would be positioned on him.

But, I finally got him just right, and having spent so much time perfecting him, I had plenty of opportunity to know exactly who he was. He's compassionate and funny but somewhat overwhelmed by his insecurities about his physical faults. Like many guys with smaller dicks, Vic is over-compensating for his cheated manhood by building up his body to ridiculous proportions. And one of the reasons that he's never been a featured player is that he's technically a virgin. He doesn't even know he's queer. He covets the large cocks at the gym, obsesses about the crotches of body-builders in magazines, he only feels relaxed and happy in the company of other nude and near-naked men. Since he considers masturbation to be a maintenance activity, he's barely noticed that thoughts of pussy have declined whilst snippets of times in the steam room and showers have steadily replaced his normal fantasy fodder. He had a girlfriend for 3 years, an Asian girl, Charlotte (he assumed she wouldn't be as critical of his short member---the RACIST!!!), with whom he was gracious but eventually a bit possessive. In the end, it was indeed about inches that she left him. Vic is 6' 4" and she was just shy of 5' 5". Being with him caused her some neck pain (Charlotte also would've liked an extra inch or two on his penis so he could penetrate beyond the lips of her vagina) as she was always having to look up. Anyway, I liked Vic and didn't want him to be represented in an embarrassing or ludicrous manner so he never made it to the majors. Still, a charming character.
