The story
attached to this illustration was a bit over the top but it actually
was a pivotal turning piece of fiction in the way I considered the
human body. Here was an occasion where the musculature made sense,
trapeze performers require certain body types to perform their
livelihood. It was the first time that I realized that there were two
separate categories of musclemen, those who are shaped by their
occupation and those that sculpt their frames from a perspective of
vanity. I was also pleased with the lighting and perspective,
especially since I have an extreme fear of heights and just looking at
this drawing made me feel a bit queasy.
