straight acting Gay Male nude Men Dude Guy interest Erotic ORIGINAL Drawing by Michael KIRWAN

This one-of-a-kind, original piece of fine art was hand-drawn by professional artist Michael Kirwan.  Created in 1993, this image was originally published in an adult magazine.

This large illustration shows a cabbie and his fare enjoying some sexual release while the meter is not running.

According to Michael:

"To the best of my recollection (shades of recent senate hearings), the reason that I employed this transparency overlay technique was to clue in the viewer that although the blowjob occurred in a different, fairly nondescript location, the participants were a cab driver and his fair. This was very "early days" in my illustrative career and I was always eager to to discover just how far I could push both myself and my equipment to produce specific results. I had just crossed-over into more mainstream publications wherein explicit penetration (oral and anal) was prohibited so I was still experimenting with blocking the figures to disguise the action but allow no other interpretation for what the guys were up to. Also, as a native New Yorker, I'd always had a fondness for Yellow Cabs and wanted to memorialize them. "

The art is signed and dated by the artist.

NOTE:  There is a piece of masking tape affixed on the paper to the right of the signature.  It does not affect the illustration nor the signature and can easily be covered by a mat when framing this work of art.

This is an original work of art and not a print or reproduction.  The computer scan of the illustration used for this auction does not fully capture the coloring and detailing of this original work.  I know everyone says that about scans but this original art is really so much nicer in person.

As an established and respected illustrator, Michael Kirwan has been drawing for adult magazines like PlayGuy, Gent, Freshmen, Torso, Sugah, Inches, Nugget, Big Women, Stroke, Plumpers, Honcho, BadPuppy, and countless others over a couple of decades.  Showing everything from muscle bound dudes stretching their jocks to buxom prostitutes on the job, Michael's art has been showcased in galleries and coveted by collectors.  He is originally from New York City but recently moved to Los Angeles, California (by way of Miami Beach, Florida).

Michael's art has long been praised for the detailing, erotic design, artistic quality, sense of humor, and the positive views while presenting the wide-ranging history of the gay sexual culture.  This is a great opportunity to own one (or more) of Michael's original illustrations.

From the artist:

The drawings are done in Letraset Tria Markers. They are essentially watercolors done with nibs rather than brushes, so I can finesse the fine details. A brown permanent ink describes all the basic features of the pencil sketch, the graphite is removed and usually two to three layers of color are applied. Then I use a variety of other different inks to define everything. I often use opaque ink to highlight areas and/or an overliner (an artist's version of Wite-Out in pale tints). There are also occasions where I employ metallic markers to draw attention to certain details. It generally takes me between 10 and 20 hours to finish each piece depending on the number of figures, intricacy of background and how many layers of color I need to produce the intended affect. On average, from conception and initial roughing out to where I deem it done, I spend about three days on each drawing.

I don't use models or photographs. Real people don't interest me. I want my characters to be the universal stand-ins for any guy who looks at them. I want men to be able to see themselves represented rather than any specific pretty boy being displayed for their pleasure. I rarely have my guys look outside of the picture at the viewer. Mine is a more voyeuristic than confrontational approach to character development.
